Before the millions of players and billions in revenue, before the esports tournaments that draw 100 million spectators, League of Legends was more an idea than a game. And the game that existed in the year-long lead up to its release was, well, pretty bad.
But co-founder Marc Merrill and his small crew of designers and interns were determined to fix that. The team threw themselves into developing what they initially called Onslaught, and spent most of their free time playing the game to see how it worked in action.
And while the game is designed to be complex, that’s what makes it so fun. But the process of becoming a good League player can be intimidating. It’s difficult to understand the game mechanics, roles, meta, and individual champions. And if you’re looking to break into the competitive scene, that’s even more challenging.
Fortunately, there’s help. NicoThePico is a former LCS coach that’s been playing the game since 2012, and he wants to share his knowledge with new players. In this course, he will show you perspectives of the game that you may not have noticed or ever thought about. By the end of this course, you’ll have a better understanding of how to play and improve your skill level in League of Legends. Prerequisites: A gaming PC capable of running League of Legends with no lag at minimum 60fps, and an interest in improving your gameplay. 롤대리
