Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Collection Review

Achieve healthy-looking strands that shine with vibrancy with this nourishing haircare regimen. Redken’s Acidic Bonding Concentrate line-up is a four-step system of an intensive pre-shampoo treatment, shampoo, conditioner, and conditioning leave-in treatment that delivers the intense conditioning, ultimate repair and color-fade protection that your strands need to look and feel better than ever. This highly effective collection is formulated with Citric Acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid within Redken’s concentrated Bonding Care Complex that helps strengthen the weakened bonds in your hair and improves strength and resiliency, especially after salon bleach or color services.

The first step is the Acidic Bonding Concentrate Intensive Pre-Treatment, which is applied before you shampoo your hair to prevent breakage during the lathering process. Redken pros explain that the treatment essentially fills in the cracks of your hair’s cuticle and makes it more resistant to damage.

Apply it to damp hair in sections, concentrating on the ends of your strands where the most damage is typically found. Let it sit for about 10 minutes before rinsing it out. Next, shampoo your hair with the Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate Sulfate-Free Shampoo, a sulfate-free formula that cleanses while strengthening your strands. You’ll then condition with either the Acidic Bonding Concentrate Sulfate-Free Conditioner or the more lightweight, sprayable Acidic Bonding Concentrate Lightweight Liquid Conditioner. The former offers a richer, thicker conditioner, while the latter is a great option for fine or thin strands that easily get weighed down by heavy products.

Both of the conditioners deliver a deep conditioning treatment that leaves your strands soft and smooth. But the standout product of this collection is the ABC Leave-In Treatment, a conditioning leave-in that’s ideal for adding moisture back into damaged strands. It’s so lightweight that you can spritz it onto your hair while still in the shower without worrying about it weighing down your hair or creating any kind of build-up or residue. Plus, this leave-in treatment is a great way to refresh your hair after a workout and even helps detangle frazzled strands so they’re easier to brush or comb through.

Once you’ve rinsed out the last of the conditioner and towel dried your strands, finish with the Acidic pH Sealer to help balance your strands, close the cuticle, and leave your strands feeling shiny and healthy. You can also use this as a heat protectant when you’re styling your strands.

With this haircare routine, you’ll be able to see and feel your strands become noticeably stronger after just a few washes. This regimen is easy to follow and the products are sulfate-free, so you can use them on all color-treated hair types.
